About
Joyie Lai is a mixing and recording engineer based in Los Angeles.
Originally from Malaysia, she works with artists and producers across tracking, mixing, and additional production, taking records from the first session through to final delivery.
Her work is grounded in serving the song — keeping the character of a performance intact while giving a record the clarity and balance to translate across playback systems. She takes on both attended and unattended sessions, and works closely with artists through revisions to get a mix where it needs to be.
